Description
Based on Ubuntu but with none of Canonical's weird bullshit, Mint is a fantastic starter distribution for anyone wanting to dip their toes in.
Also available in a Debian variant, Mint ships with the "Cinnamon" desktop environment by default in a configuration familiar to Windows users.
